Veteran author Cecil Murphey has written or co-written more than 125 books, including the bestsellers 90 Minutes in Heaven (with Don Piper), Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story (with Dr. Ben Carson), and Rebel with a Cause (with Franklin Graham). Some of his newer releases are Making Sense When Life Doesn’t; Because You Care (co-authored with Twila Belk); Unleash the Writer Within; and The Spirit of Christmas (a compilation book co-authored with Marley Gibson). Guideposts will release Heavenly Company: Entertaining Angels Unaware (a compilation book co-authored with Twila Belk) in August 2012. His books have sold in the millions, won numerous awards, and have brought hope and encouragement to countless readers around the world.

Prior to launching his career as a full-time writer and speaker, Cecil served as pastor of Riverdale Presbyterian Church in Metro Atlanta, as a volunteer hospital chaplain for ten years, and was a missionary in Kenya for six. He holds bachelor’s degrees in education and religious education, as well as master’s degrees in education and theology. Cecil was awarded an honorary Doctor of Literature from The Richmond Virginia Seminary for his contributions to the writing field.

Twila Belk, also known as the Gotta Tell Somebody Gal, is a speaker, writer, radio personality, and conference director who works full time with veteran author Cecil Murphey. Well connected through her work with Cecil, she interacts daily with the media, writers, editors, agents, publishers, conference directors, and other industry professionals.

Twila is the co-author of Heavenly Company: Entertaining Angels Unaware (Guideposts, August 2012) and Because You Care (Harvest House, February 2012) with Cecil Murphey. She is also the author of Gotta Get ‘em Fixed!. Her work has appeared in a variety of publications, including The Spirit of Christmas (St. Martin’s Press, October 2011), Christmas Miracles, and Disciplines 2009.
